  1. The end of Gaddafi’s era is a relief to the world. This man was accused of several atrocities. Among them, the involvement in the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 in Scotland, repression of freedom of speech the corruption.
Nevertheless, the new government must be watched carefully, or else another era of oppression can happen.

    1. Where it is written "the corruption" it should be "and corruption".

  2. But, Vitor, Gaddafi has been received as a statesman many times in several countries for many freely elected presidents. Nevertheless, another famous dictator who professes the socialism and communinsm, I mean Fidel Castro, had never received the same wellcome by the West Nations. What is in focus in the Gaddafi's episode certainly is a matter of changing powers in Middle East, I believe.

  3. It is true that the relations between Gaddafi and the Western have been peaceful in the last years but have been always unstable. Gaddafi’s role in the civil war of 2011 reactivated the tension in these relations. Indeed, most of the countries recognised the legitimacy of the National Transition Council as Libya’s representative.
